AceShowbiz - On the fourth anniversary of Naya Rivera's death, her former close friend and "Glee" co-star Heather Morris shared a heartfelt tribute to the late actress on Instagram. The 37-year-old expressed how much she misses Rivera and how she still feels her presence.
"I can't believe it's been 4 years," Morris wrote alongside a black and white photo of herself and Rivera. "Yet every year I'm taken by surprise how much it still hurts."
Rivera's tragic death on July 8, 2020, at Lake Piru in California left a deep void in the lives of her friends and family. Morris recalled their bond, saying, "We grow up together, fell apart, and came back together in such a beautiful way."
"God you're missed so much… except I can't shake the feeling you never left… you're still here with us... guiding us to our highest potential," Morris added.
Morris's tribute comes as part of a larger outpouring of love and remembrance for Rivera. Her former costar Jane Lynch recently spoke about the "big hole" that their passing, along with Cory Monteith's in 2013, left in their lives.
In 2020, "Glee" creators Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan, and Brad Falchuk vowed to create a college fund for Rivera's son, Josey Hollis Dorsey. Morris, along with other cast members, participated in search parties to aid the rescue efforts before Rivera's body was recovered five days after she went missing.
Morris's tribute reflects the enduring impact that Rivera had on her and her fellow castmates. Four years later, her memory continues to be a source of inspiration and guidance for those who knew and loved her.
