The Little Mix singer opens up about her post-split solo journey, her thoughts on a potential reunion as well as a track she wrote about a friendship that ended.

AceShowbiz - Perrie Edwards has revealed a "horrendous" regret that almost caused Little Mix to reunite prematurely in 2022. The singer, along with bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, panicked after going solo, realizing they were "bored out of our minds" with the newfound free time.

Edwards admits that after 10 years of intense work, they craved action. "We were texting each other saying we were 'sick' of sitting around," she recalled. Despite the desire to go back, the trio recognized the need to persevere with their solo ventures.

Now, Perrie is flourishing in her solo career, following the release of her second single, "Tears". The song reflects her growth since leaving Little Mix and her desire to move beyond her past.

Reflecting on her time with the band, Edwards acknowledges the difficulties of starting solo. "The pressure's kind of gone now," she says. "But before I launched with anything, it was so scary."

Edwards also hinted at a track on her upcoming debut album that addresses a friendship she no longer has. She describes the song as a reflection of a significant relationship that ended and brings her to tears whenever she listens to it. While she doesn't explicitly name her former bandmate Jesy Nelson, her comments suggest the song may be about her.

Meanwhile, Edwards's debut solo album is in the works, with experimentation of different genres. Despite the thrill of releasing music without her bandmates, she says, "It's been wild. I like to spiral. I overthink overthinking."

Ultimately, Edwards remains open to a potential reunion with Little Mix. "I don't think I'd struggle that much," she says. "I love working and I love also not working. So I think it's a good balance."
