AceShowbiz - Country music star Billy Ray Cyrus has taken to social media to express his feelings about his ongoing divorce from singer Firerose while Firerose has leveled new accusations of abuse and manipulation against him.
In an Instagram Story, Cyrus shared an image of the word "Fraud" surrounded by a gold frame and falling rose petals, seemingly alluding to his divorce.
Earlier, he had posted a photo of himself on a motorcycle and captioned it with, "Don't believe I've ever heard the word LIAR this much on Sunday morning. I'm sure very soon the truth will be revealed," suggesting that he believes himself to be the victim of deceit.
These cryptic posts came after Firerose, whose real name is Johanna Rose Hodges, alleged that Cyrus subjected her to "systematic isolation" during their marriage. She claimed that he imposed strict rules, including prohibiting her from driving or communicating with friends and family except for her Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor. She also accused him of requiring her to read out her texts and emails for his approval before sending them.
Cyrus has denied these allegations, claiming in court documents that Firerose attempted to isolate him from his family and blocked him from communicating with one of his daughters. He has also accused Firerose of physical, verbal, and emotional abuse. He additionally showed her messages begging him to give their marriage another chance.
Cyrus initially filed for annulment in May, citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct. However, he has since amended his filing to include allegations of fraud. The couple married in October 2023 but their marriage lasted only seven months before Cyrus filed for divorce.
