AceShowbiz - Billy Ray Cyrus' estranged wife Firerose has brought new allegations against him. In a new interview, the Australian singer claimed she was isolated like a prisoner during her marriage to the country star.
When speaking to Page Six, the 36-year-old first revealed that her now-ex once told her, "One day, we're going to have an epic love story beyond what anyone could imagine." However, things turned south just after seven months of marriage.
Firerose alleged that Billy kicked her out of their Tennessee home on the same day she was supposed to have a double mastectomy. She had recently been diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene, which means she is at high risk of developing breast cancer.
"Billy had very strict rules," Firerose said. "I didn't have a car. I was only allowed to go to the local chiropractor and allowed once a month to get my nails done … it was systematic isolation and I couldn't find the courage to leave."
Firerose went on to note that Billy didn't allow her friends and family to visit her. She added, "If I had to send a text, I had to read it out to him for permission. It was the same for email."
Firerose and Billy tied the knot in October 2023. The father of Miley Cyrus filed for divorce on May 23, citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct.
Since their split, the "Achy Breaky Heart" hitmaker and his ex accused each other of abuse. The 62-year-old himself also accused his estranged wife of orchestrating a campaign to isolate him from his family.
