The 'Top Gun: Maverick' actor is seen stepping out with his 29-year-old son, whom he shares with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, for a rare outing in London a week after his and Katie Holmes' daughter graduated from high school.

AceShowbiz - Tom Cruise enjoyed a bonding time with one of his children amid his estrangement from his daughter Suri Cruise. The actor has been spotted on a rare outing with his son Connor Cruise, a few days after skipping his daughter Suri's graduation.

On Friday, June 28, the Hollywood star took his 29-year-old son, whom he shares with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman, on a helicopter ride. The father-son duo were seen touching down at a heliport in central London.

Tom and Connor were joined by a few other unnamed guests during the aerial outing. It's unclear for what occasion the helicopter ride was and where they came from, but the Ethan Hunt depicter in the "Mission: Impossible" movies appeared to be in good spirits during the outing.

The father of three grinned from ear to ear while leaving the heliport. For the outing, he showcased his muscular arms in a short-sleeved gray T-shirt paired with jeans. He rocked aviator sunglasses and carried a black bag.

As for Connor, he was dressed comfortably in a black hoodie, gray slacks, sneakers, a matching cap and a pair of shades. He also had a big backpack slung on one of his shoulders as he put on a serious and calm expression on his face.

Tom's rare outing with Connor comes a week after Suri graduated from LaGuardia High School on June 21. The teen celebrated her graduation with her mother Katie Holmes, snapping pictures with the actress and a friend in New York City.

The 18-year-old, who donned a white dress layered with a striking red graduation robe, dropped her father's last name during the ceremony. She, instead, went by Suri Noelle, which is a nod to her mother. Katie's middle name is Noelle.

"She is showing praise for her mother by using her middle name," a source told Page Six of Suri's decision to change her name. The source believes that the teen made the change because she "wants her own identity."

Suri allegedly also wishes to stay away from the limelight by using the new name. The source explained that the new name will help the high school graduate "avoid the paparazzi" and allow her to "start fresh at college." She has revealed her plans to study design at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
