The former Playboy model reflects on her time spent around the late Playboy founder and defends his reputation against recent allegations made by Holly Madison.

AceShowbiz - Shanna Moakler has shared her experiences around Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and addressed the accusations made against him since his death. Hefner passed away in 2017, and A&E's docuseries "Secrets of Playboy" has since aired, featuring accounts of alleged rapes and misconduct.

Moakler acknowledges that she did not witness any wrongdoing herself, stating that it "wasn't my experience" with Hefner. However, she emphasizes that she will "never take away from any woman's story or experience."

Despite being a part of Hefner's "rotating circus" of girlfriends, Moakler maintains that she had a positive relationship with him. She recalls that he approached her to be a girlfriend, but she initially declined due to their age difference.

Moakler believes that the allegations against Hefner are unfortunate, especially considering his inability to defend himself posthumously. She suggests that trauma may be driving some women to come forward with their experiences.

Former Playboy model Holly Madison has faced criticism from Moakler for her negative comments about Hefner. Moakler states that Madison was treated well during her time with Hefner and claims that she "slandered" his name in the docuseries.

Moakler further asserts that Playboy supported her during a difficult time in her life. She remembers Hefner as being "a complete class act" and denies witnessing any inappropriate behavior on his part.

Other allegations have emerged from former romantic partners and ex-employees against Hefner and Playboy, including claims of non-consensual filming and sexual misconduct. Playboy has distanced itself from Hefner and expressed support for the accusers. Hefner's son, Cooper Hefner, has defended his father against the accusations, calling the stories "a case study of regret becoming revenge."
