AceShowbiz - Vin Diesel had a surprise treat for diehard fans of the "Fast & Furious" franchise on Father's Day. To celebrate the special day, the actor and film producer has unveiled the first concept art for "Fast X - Part 2".

On Sunday, June 16, the Dominic Toretto depicter took to his Instagram page to share the image. The photo teases what appears to be a high-octane sequence set somewhere in a snowy landscape after 2023's "Fast X" ended with Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and Cipher (Charlize Theron) escaping the Agency's black site prison in Antarctica, only for Gisele (Gal Gadot), who has been presumed dead since 2013's "Fast and Furious 6", to emerge from inside a submarine hatch.

"Happy Father's Day to you all...," Diesel began writing in the caption of the post. "While location scouting in Europe for Riddick, the concept art from Fast X part 2 keeps pouring in... wait until you see the American road trip. Haha."

He added, "On a side note... I saw warships off my country's shores. Hmmm. I'm not the Tucker type.... As a father my kids live in that country. Hmmm. Putin, I will fly to the Caribbean. Come have dinner. Let's not let foolishness dictate the future."

Diesel confirmed in February of this year that the eleventh film would be the final installment in the "Fast & Furious" film series. "To say the excitement for our finale was incredibly powerful is an understatement," he wrote in a social media post, adding of "Fast X - Part 2", "This grand finale is not just an ending; it's a celebration of the incredible family we've built together. Hope to make you proud!"

"Fast X", which was released in May 2023 and earned $714.6 million worldwide, ended with a cliffhanger as Dominic and his son Little Brian (Leo Abelo Perry) left in peril in Portugal. After Dom's brother, Jakob (John Cena), seemingly died sacrificing himself to save Little B from Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), the vengeful Dante trapped Dom and his son at the bottom of a dam rigged to blow with explosives.

In May, Diesel revealed via Instagram that he began track training for the eleventh movie. "To be back on the track training… where we filmed our emotional flashbacks in 2019… Surreal," he shared along with a black-and-white image of him kneeling in front of a vintage car on a race track. "Grateful and blessed...," he added.

"Fast X - Part 2", not the official title of the film, was initially scheduled for release on April 4, 2025. Last month, director Louis Leterrier announced that the final film was pushed back to an unspecified date in 2026.
