AceShowbiz - Theo James had initially harbored dreams of becoming a rock star. However, a series of unfortunate incidents during his time as a musician, including having a bottle of urine thrown at him, altered his career trajectory.
Appearing on "The Kelly Clarkson Show", "The White Lotus" star shared his experience with Kelly Clarkson, describing it as a "strange, sweaty, horrible gig" where the audience was "inebriated and angry." He further revealed that someone in the crowd had urinated in a bottle and thrown it at him, prompting him to consider a change in path.
Clarkson, shocked by the revelation, expressed sympathy and recounted her own stage mishap, where she performed barefoot on a stage covered in glass, resulting in a sliced foot.
James also recalled another stage accident where his foot was crushed by a piece of equipment while he was performing. Despite the injuries, he continued to perform, highlighting the sacrifices performers endure.
James' appearance on the talk show coincided with his promotion of "[m=The Gentlemen", a Netflix series where he plays Eddie, an aristocrat who inherits a family estate that harbors a hidden weed empire.
Despite his initial aspirations to become a musician, James's negative experiences on stage ultimately led him to pursue acting. As he noted, "At that point, I was like, 'Maybe I should try something else.' "
