In the cease and desist letter, Crystal's legal team slammed Holly for her podcast interview with Hugh Hefner's son, Marston Hefner, ripping Holly's remarks as 'malicious and intentionally misleading.'

AceShowbiz - Holly Madison was seemingly not afraid of Crystal Hefner's cease and desist letter. Instead of responding to it, the former Playboy model took to social media to poke fun at the late Playboy mogul's widow.

"Imagine running a free speech foundation and then sending someone a cease and desist for talking," Holly wrote on X, formerly Twitter. The 44-year-old added many crying laughing emojis in the tweet.

In the cease and desist letter, Crystal's legal team slammed Holly for her podcast interview with Hugh Hefner's son, Marston Hefner. Crystal's lawyer claimed that Holly's remarks on the episode as "malicious and intentionally misleading."

"Nothing could be further from the truth," the letter read, according to TMZ. "As we understand it, Ms. Hefner was steadfast in her commitment to Mr. Hefner through his final days, ensuring that he was cared for and received the best medical attention available."

In the May 13 episode of Holly and Bridget Marquardt's "Girls Next Level" podcast, Marston alleged that his stepmom had been "controlling" during her marriage to his dad and called her a "master manipulator."

"When Crystal came in, there started to be tribes. There were people that were on Crystal's team," he said. "She liked being in that position where you had to go through her or you had to ask her for things. ... She liked controlling the guest list."

"She liked taking girls off and on the guest list depending on whatever the whims were at the time," Marston continued. He later alleged that the 38-year-old would take longtime guests off the lists, even people who had been there for "10 years, 15 years."

The editor went on to claim that he "heard" Crystal "controlled" the guest list for Hugh's funeral. "I don't know if that's true. But whoever was in charge of the guest list for my father's funeral, shame on you. There were people there who I've never seen in my entire life," he fumed. "There were people filming us on their iPhones documenting our grief."

Despite the claims, Crystal's lawyer insisted that the model did not capitalize on Hugh's mental and physical decline. They suggested otherwise "is entirely false and will not be tolerated."
