When the 47-year-old actress was out and about in Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 4, she shared her reaction to Trina conceiving her fourth baby at 54 years old. Speaking to TMZ, she said, "My first thought and I hate to say it, was, was this April Fool's day. I hope that its not a publicity stunt or anything, I hope not."
Maitland went on to explain, "I have not seen any verification or information... I would hope as it goes along she would show us her journey, because that's a big deal that would help a lot of women, it would be super inspirational."
The model further shared, "I have always had a great relationship with Trina, and I am supportive of her in a pregnancy." She continued, "I don't think Trina planned it, it has to be an accident, I don't think she would plan it."
Maitland, who portrayed Rachel McGuire on the series, additionally gave her suggestions, "It should be celebrated. At first I thought, this is a joke! She should document it so people know how it's possible, I would love to see the journey along the way."
