The Grammy Award-winning raptress has revealed the third studio album of her career is coming sooner than later, promising to bring a fresh wave of sounds and themes while maintaining her authentic style, just in time for the summer heat.

AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion has announced the upcoming release of her highly anticipated third studio album, "MEGAN", via her independent label Hot Girl Productions. The album is set to drop on June 28 and marks her first album release since her departure from 300 Entertainment.
During her "Hot Girl Summer" tour stop in Atlanta, Megan surprised fans by unveiling the album's title and a QR code allowing attendees to pre-save the record. The announcement comes after the rapper teased the project with a series of snake-themed singles, "Cobra," "Hiss" and "BOA".
In an interview with L'OFFICIEL, Megan described the album as "music I would like if I wasn't Megan Thee Stallion." While tapping into new sounds, she emphasized that the project remains authentic to her style.
"It's a rebirth, a renewal," Megan explained. "This is the whole concept of this album. We started with the snake because I love snakes, but I feel like they're misunderstood. They represent rebirth, spirituality. I like darker things, things that are a little scary, unique. I picked the snake because it's kind of like an antihero."
Prior to the album's release, Megan collaborated with GloRilla and Cardi B on a remix of their song "Wanna Be", which dropped on May 31. She has also released standalone singles "I Think I Love Her" and "Like a G6" as part of her #MeganMondays series.
The cover of "MEGAN" depicts the rapper emerging from a cocoon in a laboratory setting. The album announcement follows Eminem's mention of Megan on his new single "Houdini", on which he referenced the shooting incident she endured in 2020.
Megan Thee Stallion will embark on a U.K. and European leg of her tour in July, with tickets currently on sale.
