It was said that the correspondence team at the palace was so touched by the love and affection shown to Kate. In a normal week, the palace would expect to receive up to 1,000 letters each week from members of the public with various queries or messages of good wishes for individual royals.
While the sheer volume of correspondence may be overwhelming for the staff at times, they are determined to reply to all the well-wishers.
After revealing her cancer diagnosis in March, the wife of Prince William has been staying low-key. A recent report claimed that the mom of three will not make any public appearances until next year to protect her health, both physically and mentally.
"Lots of people involved in planning need to know what all the principals are doing a long way in advance," a royal source revealed to the Daily Beast on Friday, May 24. "I am told that Kate's diary for this year is empty. There is nothing planned. She may not appear in public for the rest of the year."
A so-called friend of Prince William and Princess Kate also claimed that the royal couple is prioritizing her mental health above all during this time. The insider added, "The key thing for her now is avoiding any kind of stress or anxiety and just getting on with the business of getting better."
"They will bail out and be off to Sandringham the moment school breaks up," the source continued. It was also said that Kate was planning to spend time with her kids and relatives in Anmer Hall in Norfolk, England.
