Britney revealed that her entire collection of jewelry was stolen, leaving her feeling "scared" and unsettled. The singer shared a video that showed her opening numerous empty jewelry boxes, stating, "Look I'll show you guys for real, all my jewelry was stolen."
In the video and subsequent posts, Britney lamented the loss of some precious pieces, including a "baby cross that I wore since I was 4… it's so thin." She elaborated in her caption, "So you can see for real all my jewelry was stolen… it's hard to buy new now because I'm scared it will go missing." The only piece remaining was a religious necklace and broach featuring "Mother Mary."
"So I buy it cheap and fake, but it's hard because some of my pieces were originally made for me," she added.
Despite the alarming discovery, Britney maintained an active presence on Instagram. Shortly after her initial post about the theft, she shared a video of herself modeling a red mini dress and expressing her interest in getting a tongue piercing. Captioning the post, she wrote, "Thinking of getting a tongue ring!!!"
A spokesperson for the Ventura County Sheriff's Office confirmed that no reports of theft had been received regarding Spears' residence, though Page Six noted this was not the first time Britney suspected a robbery. In August 2021, she reported a theft but chose not to file a formal report.
Spears also opened up about her personal struggles and the toll her conservatorship had taken on her life. She mentioned that she had been unwell with a persistent cold and recounted her new hobbies, such as stenciling her walls and organizing her drawers. She added, "I'm scared of the outside world because god forbid I break a foot and someone calls an ambulance so I don't go out much."
