AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj has been forced to postpone her show following her run-in with the law. The "Anaconda" femcee was supposed to perform at Manchester's Co-op Live Arena on Saturday evening, May 25, but the gig has been pushed back after she was arrested in Amsterdam.
"Despite Nicki's best efforts to explore every possible avenue to make tonight's show happen, the events of today have made it impossible," Live Nation said in a statement. "We are deeply disappointed by the inconvenience this has caused."
The 41-year-old's show, which is a part of his "Pink Friday World Tour", was originally set to have doors open at 6.30 P.M. However, it was later changed to 7 P.M., and fans have since entered the venue.
Nicki live-streamed her arrest on Instagram. In the clip, she was seen engaging with local police officers who claimed they were detaining her because she's "carrying drugs." The rap star was quick to deny these allegations, responding, "I'm not carrying drugs."
The Instagram Live, which spanned over three minutes, showed Nicki stating, "I need a lawyer present now" as she resisted stepping into a police vehicle. She also expressed concerns about her next scheduled performance in Manchester, UK, but the officer assured Minaj that someone would "try to get [her] there."
