AceShowbiz - Vanessa Hudgens may want to continue her music career after winning season 11 of "The Masked Singer". In an interview, the "High School Musical" actress revealed if she plans to release new music soon.
"I always say life is about priorities and that's just not a top priority right now," the 35-year-old said when speaking to Entertainment Weekly. "Who knows? Maybe down the line, maybe it will be, but as of now, it's still no."
The "Princess Switch" leading lady went on to recall that her appearance on the singing competition show had been a long time coming. She said the show asked her to join it "years ago."
"This kind of just came around at the perfect time, and my fans had been asking, saying, 'We want more music, we want singing anything, give it to us please,' " the singer shared. "And I was like, you know, this would be a really interesting way to give my fans what they want, but make sure they're really fans. And they are!"
Elsewhere in the chat, Vanessa also talked about how her friendship with judge Rita Ora complicated her time on the show. "We were with each other about two weeks before the show started, and I found out after the fact that she was a judge, and I was like, oh God," she stated.
"And then I had my first performance, and she guessed it was me, and then I was like, 'Well, there goes our dinner plans,' because I cannot sit at a dinner table and stare at her in the face and not be like, 'Girl,' " the "Spring Breakers" star continued. "But yeah, no, she's the best."
Career aside, Vanessa unveiled in March that she and husband Cole Tucker are expecting their first child. When hitting the red carpet at the 2024 Academy Awards on March 10, she debuted her baby bump in a skin-tight black gown, which was long enough to trail down as she walked.
