AceShowbiz - Britney Spears seemingly doesn't enjoy being put back in the spotlight following her recent hotel outburst. Insinuating that the media attention has been making her "a nervous wreck," the singer has claimed that she has lost "a lot of weight" since the incident in early May.

On late Monday, May 20, the pop icon made use of her Instagram page to let out a video which she said was taken one day before she broke her foot at the Chateau Marmont. In the clip, she modeled a sheer dress as she appeared to admire herself in the camera.

"This is weirdly enough the day before I broke my foot !!!" she wrote in the caption. "You can see my face looks younger and I'm a bit heavier because well I don't have paps and the news messing with me and making me a nervous wreck !!!"

Sharing an update, the "Hold It Against Me" songstress also teased that she has "new exciting projects" coming for her fans. "I've lost a lot of weight since then and have a couple of new exciting projects on the way!!!" she added, before concluding, "Hope you guys are having a wonderful day!!!"

Britney did not share details of her upcoming projects. She most recently released her bombshell memoir "The Woman in Me" in October 2023. The book, which details her life under conservatorship and her past relationship with Justin Timberlake, went on to become a best-seller. It sold 1.1 million copies in the U.S., while worldwide it sold 2.4 million copies in print sales during its first week of release.

She has reportedly accumulated an impressive $40 million in earnings over the past year. Her memoir, her collaboration with Elton John, "Hold Me Closer", and royalties from her extensive music catalog have all contributed to her financial success.

Meanwhile, Britney injured her foot during an alleged altercation with her boyfriend Paul Richard Soliz at the Chateau Marmont on May 1. Being "stubborn," she revealed that she refused to get a surgery for her broken foot and wore high heels despite her swollen foot.
