AceShowbiz - Fans and friends are still rallying for Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' daughters after footage of his alleged assault on Cassie surfaced. Social media users showed their support for Jessie and D'Lila Combs as they headed to a prom.

On Sunday, May 19, the twins posted on their joint social media account their prom pictures. In the snaps, the girls were all dressed up in matching black gowns as they posed at home seemingly before heading to the party. They simply captioned the images with, "Prom '24."

The girls received love from their followers in the comments, with Kimora Lee Simmons marveling, "My babies! So proud of this moment and I'm so very proud of you always! You are too sweet and gorgeous! I love you!"

Holly Robinson Peete gushed, "You both look unbelievably gorgeous!!!!!" Yung Miami left several face with heart eyes emojis, and her City Girls groupmate JT echoed the sentiment as writing, "Awww you girls look BEAUTIFUL !!!!!"

Other users also preemptively fend off haters with one saying, "They ARE NOT their fathers mistakes. DO NOT disrespect those pretty young ladies. Thank you." Another remarked, "Man I hope their dad's situation doesn't overshadow their special moment."

A third fan told naysayers out there, "Y'all bet not say nothin to these baby's." Another added, "Please do not take this special moment away from these girls based on someone else's actions," as someone else similarly pleaded with others, "Don't shade these kids because of their dad."

Diddy came under fire anew after video of him allegedly assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie leaked online over the weekend. He then issued an apology video in which he said, "I hit rock bottom -- but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I'm disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I'm so sorry. But I'm committed to be a better man each and every day. I'm not asking for forgiveness. I'm truly sorry."

Cassie's lawyer, however, wasn't convinced by Diddy's apology, saying in a statement on Sunday, "Combs' most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt. When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday. That he was only compelled to 'apologize' once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words."
