In a new interview with British Vogue, the 'Dark Phoenix' actress also addresses mom-shaming comments about her alleged partying habit after Joe filed for divorce in September 2023.

AceShowbiz - Sophie Turner owes Taylor Swift a lot for lending her a helping hand during a hard time last year. The actress has publicly declared the Grammy winner "an absolute hero" for creating "safe space" for her and her children after Joe Jonas filed for divorce.

"Taylor was an absolute hero to me this year," the British beauty said in a new interview with British Vogue, which was published on Wednesday, May 15. The "Game of Thrones" alum, who first met the pop superstar around a decade prior, reached out to Taylor when she found herself in New York last September without a place to stay.

While Sophie hoped the songwriter might know someone renting a place, Taylor immediately offered up her place for free. "I've never been more grateful to anyone than I am for her because she took my children and me, and provided us with a home and a safe space," she continued of her now-bestie. "She really has a heart of gold."

In the same interview, Sophie also addressed the mom-shaming comments about her and how she was portrayed as a partygoer while her ex was portrayed as a doting dad following their split. "I mean, those were the worst few days of my life," she admitted. "I remember I was on set, I was contracted to be on set for another two weeks, so I couldn't leave. My kids were in the States and I couldn't get to them because I had to finish 'Joan'. And all these articles started coming out..."

The 28-year-old went on sharing, "It hurt because I really do completely torture myself over every move I make as a mother - mum guilt is so real! I just kept having to say to myself, 'None of this is true. You are a good mum and you've never been a partier.' "

Sophie and Joe were embroiled in a custody battle over their two minor children, Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1, before they hashed it out in October. Leaving the drama behind, Sophie acknowledged that her estranged husband is a "great father" to their two kids.

She's also keen on forging a good relationship with Joe's family as she revealed her "dream" to "have a huge Christmas where my daughters can have their dad there, Joe's whole side of the family, their grandparents." She went on to note, "I don't care about the politics, I just want the girls to feel loved and have everyone show up for them."
