A source tells Life & Style that the actress is "committed to moving on with her life and not looking back." The insider also points out that the 44-year-old took on a girls' trip to Texas with old pal Nicky Hilton Rothschild.
The informant adds, "Her friends are all saying that she's doing better and seems lighter and more upbeat than she has since this whole nightmare started."
The "Almost Famous" actress is also said to be "still dealing with her complicated feelings toward Danny" because "he's still the father of her daughter" after all. The source continues, "For now she's still focused on her life with her daughter and just getting a sense of normalcy back, but her friends are encouraged that she's moving in the right direction."
The new report arrives after Bijou gave a rare update on her life to E! News at the Janie's Fund Grammys Viewing Party on Sunday, February 4. "I'm doing good," she shared, adding that she and the pair's daughter, Fianna, nine, are a "great little team."
Despite their divorce, the 43-year-old star claimed that he's still in touch with their little girl every night. She said, "Danny is an amazing father. Our daughter and I are heartbroken that he is not home with us. It has been very difficult without him here. Even though he is now in jail, he calls her every day. He helps her with homework every night."
Danny was sentenced last September to 30 years to life behind bars after being found guilty of raping two women 20 years ago. In January, the 47-year-old actor moved to the maximum-security prison that once housed notorious cult leader Charles Manson, North Kern State Prison to Corcoran State Prison in California.
