'The Real Slim Shady' rapper announces that he has a new record, which will be released in summer, in a teaser video that features the 'In Da Club' hitmaker.

AceShowbiz - Eminem has been called a "psychopath" by his longtime pal 50 Cent. "The Real Slim Shady" rapper, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers, features the "In Da Club" spitter in a teaser video for his new album titled "The Death of Slim Shady".

On Thursday, April 24, the 51-year-old hip-hop artist left many social media users surprised with his announcement, in which he revealed that he has a new album coming out soon. He unveiled the exciting news by releasing a teaser video that he uploaded on several platforms, including Instagram and YouTube.

In the beginning of the newly-released clip, a man, seemingly a detective, appears alongside a message that reads, "DETROIT MURDER FILES." The detective is documented walking towards the camera in an apparent crime scene, where a police line and ambulance are spotted.

The detective speaks to the camera as if reporting a crime, "Through his complex and of criticized tongue-twisting rhymes, the blonde anti-hero known as (Slim Shady) has had no shortage of enemies." He continues, "Perhaps it's no surprise that the same rude lyrics and controversial antics, which made him infamous, may have ultimately led to his death."

"With such a wide field of potential suspects, finding his killer makes for a difficult task," the detective adds. "The murder of Slim Shady has become one of the most infamous cold cases in American history. Join me as we recreate the events that led to a slang in the hopes that someone somewhere will come forward with the truth."

In the middle of the detective's monologue, Eminem's friend Fifty appears. The actor portraying Kanan on "Power" is filmed sitting on a chair alone during an interview. He can be heard saying, "I thought we were friends. He is not afraid, he's a psychopath."

Near the end of the footage, Eminem shows up. He initially has his face blurred and his voice changed. He says, "So who killed Slim Shady? Well, whoever did it, I'd like to shake their hand one day. I knew it was just a matter of time for Slim," before moving his body to take a bottle of water and accidentally exposing his face. Shocked, he then curses, "F**k!"

Along with the hilarious video, the "Lose Yourself" hitmaker revealed the release date of the new record. In the caption of the post, he spilled, "THE DEATH OF SLIM SHADY (COUP DE GRACE). Summer 2024," adding a link to his official website.
