Less than one month before 'Hit Me Hard and Soft' is launched, it is revealed that one of her songs from the album is 'even more devastating' than the 'Barbie' song.

AceShowbiz - More details about Billie Eilish's new album have been shared with her fans. Less than one month before "Hit Me Hard and Soft" is released, the singer's song titled "Skinny" from the upcoming record was revealed as a "sister song" to her hit "What Was I Made For?", which is featured in the "Barbie" movie.

The 22-year-old Oscar-winning songstress discussed her forthcoming set in a new interview published by Rolling Stones on Wednesday, April 24. In the article, the magazine noted, "It carries the same sparse fragility. But the lyrics are even more devastating, as Eilish tackles the misconception that losing weight signifies happiness."

Meanwhile, Billie described "Hit Me Hard and Soft" as a version of herself. She told the magazine, "I feel like this album is me, it's not a character." She went on to explain, "It feels like the 'WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?' version of me. It feels like my youth and who I was as a kid."

During the chat, Billie also revealed the reason why she chose not to release singles from the album. "I don't like singles from albums," she simply stated, before elaborating, "Every single time an artist I love puts out a single without the context of the album, I'm just already prone to hating on it."

The nine-time Grammy winner additionally shared her opinion, "I really don't like when things are out of context." She then noted, "This album is like a family: I don't want one little kid to be in the middle of the room alone."

Elsewhere in the interview, Billie discussed getting the perfect shot for the cover art of the record. "If there's one thing about me, it is I will put myself through hell and back for the shot," she said. "I've always been like that, and I will continue to be like that. A lot of my artwork is painful physically in a lot of ways, and I love it. Oh, my God, I live for it."

Billie is slated to release "Hit Me Hard and Soft" on May 17. Recently, the "Ocean Eyes" songstress unveiled the tracklist of the album, which will feature "Skinny", "Lunch", "Chihiro", "Birds of a Feather", "Wildflower", "The Greatest", "L'Amour De Ma Vie", "The Diner", "Bittersuite" and "Blue".
