Kid Cudi Breaks His Foot After Jumping Off Stage at Coachella, Gets Trolled by Fans

The 'Erase Me' rapper admits it's 'crazy' when confirming that his foot was broken after he jumped down from the stage during his 40-minute set at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival.

AceShowbiz - Kid Cudi apparently took "break a leg" too literally at 2024 Coachella. Taking the stage in week 2 of the music and arts festival in Indio, California, the rapper injured his foot when jumping off stage.

The 40-year-old, who was a special treat for the second-weekend fans, played to an overflowing Sahara tent crowd on Sunday afternoon, April 21. He was performing "Memories" when he tried to jump down from the stage to get closer to the audience.

In a video taken by one of the festivalgoers, the "Day 'n' Nite" hitmaker seemed to wobble at the edge of the stage before taking the leap. However, he appeared to make a wrong landing as he looked hurt and wasn't able to get back on his feet.

Several crew members immediately came to the rescue. Cudi ended up being escorted off by two men as he was not able to put weight on his leg. The set, which was already well into its 40-minute run time, was ended early with one-and-a-half songs remaining in his allotted time.

The crowd was treated to recording of his biggest hit "Pursuit of Happiness" to close out the set. Most of them not aware that Cudi had been hurt and was no longer on stage.

After the show, Cudi took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to inform his fans the severity of his injury. "Hey guys, so I broke my foot today at the show. just leavin the hospital. Never broken a bone before so this is all a bit crazy," he wrote.

"I wanna thank u all for ur concerns and well wishes! I love yall man," the "Erase Me" emcee added. To some disappointed fans, he said, "I heard yall still ragin when I was offstage. Made me smile big."

Upon seeing the video of Cudi's fall, however, people couldn't help mocking him. "He looked like that was his first time ever attempting to jump off anything in life," one person commented on the clip that was reposted on The Shade Room's Instagram account. A baffled user asked, "Who even jumps like that."

"Why would he jump like that anyways I'm annoyed," a third quipped. Someone joked, "He either high af or the most unathletic person ever." A fifth enthused, "Jumped like a toddler," while another wrote, "I shouldnt laugh at nobody getting hurt but shiddd..."
