In a new episode of her podcast, the former 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star gets candid about suffering a miscarriage when she felt suffocated in their marriage.

AceShowbiz - Bethenny Frankel apparently wasn't entirely devastated when she lost her baby during her marriage to Jason Hoppy. The former "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star got candid about what she felt when she suffered a miscarriage amid their suffocating marriage.

"In a constructive way, I said, 'I'm kind of relieved,' " Bethenny revealed in the Tuesday, April 16 episode of her "Just B Divorced" podcast. As for the reason, she explained, "Because I don't think this is a healthy or positive relationship."

The 53-year-old former Bravolebrity went on to say, "It was a nightmare that it happened. [That was] my first step to saying something."

Recalling Jason's response to her miscarriage, Bethenny shared, "And he said to me, 'You're a real piece of s**t, you know that?' He moved out to a hotel downtown for a couple of nights, and it was a total relief."

Back in June 2012, Bethenny, who shares daughter Bryn with Jason, addressed the pregnancy loss in an interview with Glamour essay. At the time, she did admit to feeling relieved though it was for another reason. "There was, I have to admit, a bit of relief that I wouldn't be starting my new TV job seven months pregnant," she revealed. "And then there was immense guilt at the relief."

Back to the podcast, Bethenny also talked about her sex life with the businessman prior to the miscarriage. The Skinnygirl founder claimed her ex-husband would liken her to a "block of ice" since she "didn't want to have sex at all." She explained, "I did not want to be intimate. I used to force myself, gag myself through doing it. … It is torture."

Bethenny and Jason announced their split in December 2012 before he filed for divorce in January 2013. The pair's divorce was finalized in January 2021 following a contentious legal battle.
