Marysol claims she was 'a little shocked' by the news about her co-star, who skips the latest episode of their 'Ay Por Favor' podcast after Todd Nepola filed for divorce from the 56-year-old socialite.

AceShowbiz - Alexia Nepola's friend Marysol Patton was as surprised as fans to learn of her marriage breakdown. Marysol has spoken up on the divorce of her "The Real Housewives of Miami" co-star from her husband Todd Nepola when addressing Alexia's absence from the latest episode of their iHeartRadio "Ay Por Favor" podcast.

"We're all a little shocked and it's not a good day for her to be here and participate," Marysol said at the beginning of the Monday, April 15, episode, admitting that she didn't see the couple's split coming. "What can I say? I am completely taken by surprise. I mean, I didn't see this coming. It rips my heart apart because I can only put myself in her shoes and know how hard this must be for her."

Sharing her sympathy, Marysol continued, "We all have that dream of being in love and then we find a partner and we have the fantasy of the perfect life and then reality hits sometimes and it's not what we thought it was going to be. Today we all got a big cold dose of reality. Things don't always turn out the way we had planned. I'm very sad for her."

Alexia herself has hinted that she was blindsided by the divorce in a statement she issued on Monday. "I am shocked and heartbroken that Todd has chosen to dissolve our marriage," she wrote on her Instagram Story.

"I will take comfort in the fact that my friends and family will be by my side supporting me during this difficult time," she continued, before concluding, "I'm praying for better times ahead."

Todd, a real estate broker, filed for divorce in Florida on Thursday, April 11, citing "irretrievable brokenness" of the marriage. Alexia and Todd, a real estate broker, have been married since December 2021.

The divorce filing came amid rumors about financial issues in the couple's relationship, which were discussed on Season 6 of "Real Housewives of Miami". However, Alexia has maintained that the rumors were unfounded. "I'm married to a reputable businessman that has his own business," she said.
