The Odd Future star addresses his viral conversation with his pal Jerrod, who has the hots for him, while on stage during his set at the Coachella in Indio, California.

AceShowbiz - During his headlining set at Coachella 2024 on Saturday, April 13, rapper Tyler, the Creator took a moment to address a recent viral clip from Jerrod Carmichael's reality show. The clip showed Carmichael talking about his romantic feelings for Tyler, who rejected him.

On stage, Tyler described the incident as "terrible" and joked about Carmichael's proposal to film the encounter. "Probably seen my homie tried to f**k me on camera," he remarked. "I told the n***a 'no' and he said, 'But what about if we filmed it?' Terrible!"

Carmichael, who had previously been called a "stupid b*tch" by Tyler after his confession, later invited Tyler onto his show for a discussion. Tyler explained that he had initially dismissed Carmichael's feelings as a way to avoid change.

"I did [brush it off]," Tyler said. "Getting news like that and then avoiding it is a way to avoid changes.... that was a lot to download. And now we're here and I still don't know how to respond..."

Despite his rejection, Tyler spoke fondly of their friendship, considering Carmichael a "brother."

In a separate segment of his Coachella set, Tyler also reflected on his past dislike for fellow performers Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) and ASAP Rocky. He has since developed a newfound respect for Rocky and praised Glover's creative risks.

Tyler's performance included collaborations with Glover, Rocky, Charlie Wilson, and Kali Uchis. He ended the desert-themed concert with his 2019 hit "New Magic Wand."
