Many social media users assume that the sister of the late Michael Jackson has rekindled her romance with her rapper ex after seeing her flirty birthday post for him.

AceShowbiz - Janet Jackson and Q-Tip fans couldn't help but gush over the two's platonic relationship. Many social media users assumed that the two had rekindled their romance after seeing Janet's flirty birthday post for her ex.
"30 + yrs of friendship," the 57-year-old singer/songwrriter captioned a black and white photo of Q-Tip shared on Instagram Story on Thursday, April 10. "So special to me. Thank you for coming over last nite. Happy bday [blowing kiss emojis]."
Online users have since offered their two cents. "It was always supposed to be them for [me]!" one fan wrote, with another playfully dubbing the songstress "Janet 'spin the block' Jackson." A third penned, "oh i want janet and q-tip for each other SO BAD."
Someone else noted, "There's a parallel universe where Janet and Q-Tip are married and I bet climate change isn't a problem there." Others, meanwhile, joked about how another one of her exes, Jermaine Dupri, must feel about the rumored reunion.
It remains unclear what caused Jackson and Q-Tip to go their separate ways in 2002. However, the two have seemingly been able to move past it.
Back in 2021, Q-Tip reflected on their relationship in an interview with Math Hoffa. He revealed that they met on the set of John Singleton's classic 1993 film "Poetic Justice", where he played her boyfriend at the beginning of the film.
Four years later, the pair collaborated on the smash hit "Got 'Til It's Gone". The two musicians started dating after that. "It be cool and s**t," he said. "She be making eggs and sh*t and I'll be chilling like, 'Yo, that's Penny!' to myself. I love her to death and she's a Jackson - that's Black royalty."
