The Bush frontman, who allegedly never wanted his marriage to Gwen to end, is said to be poking her 'buttons' amid rumors that she and her husband Blake 'are going through a tough time.'

AceShowbiz - Gavin Rossdale is seemingly still not completely getting over Gwen Stefani. Following their split in 2015, the former No Doubt member has moved on by marrying Blake Shelton, but now the Bush frontman is reportedly poking her buttons amid rumors of her marital rift with the country music star.

"Gavin is still stewing over the breakup, so he likes to stir the pot whenever he can," a source told Star magazine (via RadarOnline.com). "He heard that Gwen and Blake are going through a tough time right now, so he's using it as an opportunity to push Gwen's buttons when he sees her."

This allegedly leaves Gwen feeling uncomfortable being around Gavin. "Gwen doesn't even like doing the kids handoff with him, because Gavin will say something obnoxious or act weird," the informant added. "That's why Blake tags along sometimes, because Gwen doesn't feel comfortable going alone."

Gwen filed for divorce from Gavin in August 2015 after almost 13 years of marriage, but he never wanted his marriage to Gwen to end, according to the source. "But she wanted out, and he can't get over it," the source claimed.

"Luckily the kids - Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 10 - aren't suffering," the tipster added. "Gavin and Gwen always put them first and hide any tension when they're around. And Gwen and Gavin would never badmouth each other to the kids."

As to how the "Hollaback Girl" songstress deals with her clingy ex, the source said, "Gwen just wants to keep things as harmonious as possible, but Gavin makes that extremely difficult sometimes."

The report comes amid speculation that there's trouble in paradise in Gwen and Blake's marriage. Fans pointed out that the pair had snubbed each other's projects and written cryptic lyrics. They were also rarely seen together on night outs.

Further fueling the rumors, Life & Style reported in February that the couple had been spending time away from each other. "It's been frustrating. Their relationship of late has been a lot of texting and talking on the phone," a source claimed.

However, the pair seemed to have brushed off the split rumors with their recent joint appearance onstage. During her husband's show in Glendale, Arizona over the weekend, Gwen made a surprise appearance to deliver duets of their songs, including "Happy Anywhere", "Nobody But You" as well as their newest single "Purple Irises".
