Despite fleeing the U.S., the embattled music producer still couldn't escape his legal woes as process server managed to chase him all the way to Bali to hand him the court documents.

AceShowbiz - Russell Simmons, the music mogul facing multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, has been served with a defamation lawsuit at his resort in Bali. Former music executive Drew Dixon filed the suit after Simmons vehemently denied her assault claims, accusing her of lying and seeking fame.

On March 5, process server Daniel John Ayoub arrived at the Gdas Bali Health And Wellness Resort, owned by Simmons, at around 12:30 P.M. local time. After passing two security checkpoints, Ayoub spent an hour searching for Simmons before finally spotting him.

"I said 'Excuse me, Mr. Simmons, sorry to interrupt your meeting,' " the server said, according to AllHipHop. "I then handed Simmons the service documents in an envelope and said, 'This is for you.' "

Simmons was confused and asked, "What's this from?' I replied, 'You've been served from the State of New York." Stunned, Simmons then quickly let go of the envelope and exclaimed, "Ah f**k, s**t.' " He then made several calls to security and unknown contacts.

Dixon's lawsuit seeks compensatory and punitive damages for Simmons' defamatory remarks, which she claims have damaged her professional and personal life. Simmons has consistently denied the assault claims, insisting on the consensual nature of his encounters.

Dixon has also accused music executive L.A. Reid of sexual assault and harassment, filing a lawsuit under New York's Adult Survivors Act. Lawyers for Dixon and Reid are reportedly exploring settlements in both cases.

Simmons' sexual misconduct allegations have sparked backlash from his former associates, including Kimora Lee. Despite the ongoing legal challenges, it remains unclear what the future holds in terms of holding individuals accountable and reforming the music industry.
