Back in March 2023, it was reported that the Atlanta rapper was busted in May 2021 at LAX and charged with carrying a loaded firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.

AceShowbiz - Latto (Mulatto) responded to a fan poking fun at her wrongful arrest back in 2021. The "Big Energy" raptress clapped back at the X user, who commented on the arrest unprovoked.

"Y'all remember when Latto got out of jail and dissed every body that was trolling her," the person wrote on the app, formerly known as Twitter. Catching wind of the post, Latto said, "Y'all got alot to say but lemme see u get pulled off the plane otw to Punta Cana, wrongfully arrested in front of the whole airport (literally profiled), ppl think ur in jail for actually stealing so evb talking s**t calling u broke."

She added, "blogs spreading fake news, $10k+ lawyer fees, & sit in there 3 days with no refund on ur vacation or lawyer fees???? Lmk when yall want a story time."

Latto's tweet, however, only backfired at her with many accusing her of lying, "Ngl , im confused, so she got locked up by accident or because she had a gun or is this 2 separate occasions," one said. "Wrongfully arrested but had a loaded firearm… okay got it," someone else noted.

Some others pointed out the inconsistency in the story. "First she said she was out in a few hours. Now she saying she sat in there 3 days," one wrote. Echoing the sentiment, another added, "I thought it was for 3 hours and she made it to her show in Alabama??" One comment, meanwhile, read, "Ummm so here's the thing she literally rapped about being locked up for forgetting about a gun in the airport lol was that a lie ?"

Back in March 2023, TMZ reported that Latto was busted in May 2021 at LAX and charged with carrying a loaded firearm and carrying a concealed weapon. Following the arrest, the "B***h From Da Souf" raptress allegedly entered a year-long diversion program which started in April 2022.

According to the news outlet, the program required the "It's Givin' " femcee to complete a gun safety course, perform 120 hours of community service and avoid all firearms.
