AceShowbiz - Alec Baldwin, the actor embroiled in the fatal shooting on the set of "Rust", has reportedly become increasingly volatile since the conviction of head armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed on involuntary manslaughter charges.

"Alec is terrified and lashing out at everyone around him!" an insider told the National Enquirer. "His poor wife and family are taking the brunt of it."

Gutierrez-Reed faces up to 18 months in prison for her role in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Baldwin, who was holding the pistol that fired the live round, also faces the same sentence if convicted.

Since Gutierrez-Reed's conviction, prosecutors have been building a case against Baldwin for his role as a producer on the film. They argue that his negligence contributed to Hutchins' death, as he was ultimately responsible for ensuring gun safety on set.

Baldwin has repeatedly denied pulling the trigger, but sources say he fears being seen as responsible for Hutchins' death and is lashing out at those around him, including his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, 40, and their seven children.

"Alec Baldwin's conduct and his lack of gun safety is something he's going to have to answer for," prosecutor Kari Morrissey said during closing arguments against Gutierrez-Reed. "The pressure is building and he's dealing with it by blaming everybody else for his predicament," a source explained.

However, insiders say Baldwin's behavior is only alienating his supporters. "If he continues to drive away his closest supporters, he won't have anyone to visit him when the cell door finally slams behind him," a source warned.
