AceShowbiz - While Megan Fox has been roasted online over her unrecognizable appearance at several events, "Love Is Blind" star Chelsea Blackwell has faced backlash for comparing herself to the actress. Learning of the criticism, the reality TV star appears to be unfazed as she responded via social media.
On Monday, February 19, Chelsea shared on TikTok a video showing off her indie-style look in an animal print coat over a mini black dress. She held a drink in one hand while Led Zeppelin's hit "Immigrant Song" was playing. "Go on a show for love > get your butt dragged through the trenches," she wrote in the caption.
The flight attendant also re-posted a statement from her friend who appeared to support her amid the criticism directed at the "Love Is Blind" cast. "People are so mean here on the internet and take reality TV way too seriously," read the original message from Presley Carter which was posted on her Instagram Story. "Like it's a show y'all, we need to cool it."
"Here's what people who are criticizing the cast needs to understands...," she added, "1. These are real people with feelings, and emotions. With families and friends reading the comments. We're ALL imperfect, all trying our best. Please respect the cast through this."
"2. Remember, this show has AMAZING editors...that want to get drama and tell a narrative. They are great at their jobs. We only see a little bit of the hours and hours they film," Presley continued. "3. God talks a lot in scripture about judgment, and how we can't judge others because we're all imperfect. Let's not forget."
Chelsea, who has dark hair, blue eyes and tattoos like Megan, caught heat after telling her love interest in season 6 of the Netflix show, Jimmy Presnell, that she's often told she looks like the "Jennifer's Body" actress. "It's just because I have dark hair and blue eyes. But I don't see it, so don't get excited," she cautiously told Jimmy as they developed romantic interest in one another without seeing their faces.
After Chelsea and Jimmy revealed their faces to each other, he proposed to her, though he later admitted disappointment with her appearance. "She definitely lied to me about some, uh, how she looked," he said in a confessional. "Chelsea told me she looked like Megan Fox. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. I am very attracted to her. I can work with that."
Chelsea sparked backlash for the inaccurate comparison. "Chelsea is megan fox from temu," one person joked on social media. Another wrote, "Megan Fox who lied to her? And he only picker [sic] her cause she said that."
Others, however, could see why she named Megan as her celebrity doppelganger to describe her. "The Megan Fox joke is boring now, guys," someone defended Chelsea. "I think Chelsea is beautiful despite what she did. It's not easy getting bullied online by others. Please have a little compassion."
