The 43-year-old supermodel pens an emotional tribute to her late mom Vania Nonnenmacher after she passed away at Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Porto Alegre, Brazil, on Sunday.

AceShowbiz - Gisele Bundchen has broken her silence on the death of her mother, Vania Nonnenmacher. The supermodel honored her late mom in an emotional tribute in which she vowed to "forever cherish the beautiful memories" with her.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, January 30, the 43-year-old unleashed a slideshow of family photos with her mom over the years. She began her caption, "Beloved mom, it hurts to know that I won't be able to hug you anymore, but I know that you will always be watching over us. You were an angel on earth, always helping everyone around you."
"Thank you for being the best role model of love, strength, compassion, courage and grace," the former Victoria's Secret Angel added. "I will forever cherish the beautiful memories we shared and will live by the values you taught me. You will live forever through the many lives that you touched. Thank you for giving me five best friends for life. Your love will always guide us. I will see you in my dreams. Love you."
Vania died at Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Porto Alegre, Brazil, on Sunday after losing her battle with cancer. It was said that a wake and a farewell ceremony took place on Monday morning at the Ecumenical Chapel of the Metropolitan Crematorium in Porto Alegre.
Aside from Gisele, Vania was a mother to five other daughters. They are Rafaela, Graziela, Gabriela, Raquel and Gisele's twin sister, Patricia.
Gisele shared her thoughts about her parents' health in a recent interview with Harpers Bazaar. "I want to live the longest feeling the best that I can, but for me to achieve this, I have to make decisions today," she said. "You can have all the money in the world. If you don't have your health, it's not possible to buy it back."
Back in July 2022, the ex-wife of Tom Brady offered a sweet birthday tribute to her mom by posting a series of their photos. "Happy birthday Mom! I am forever grateful for all that you have done and continue to do for us," she wrote at the time. "Thank you for always loving, inspiring and teaching us. Thank you for giving me life! Love you so much!"
