AceShowbiz - Lil Wayne doesn't think he made a wrong decision by signing Drake to his label. During his appearance in the latest episode of "The Richard Sherman Podcast", Weezy weighed in on the possible reason why the "Hotline Bling" rapper gets hated on.

The episode saw Wayne discussing his decision to the 6 God spitter and Nicki Minaj to Young Money Entertainment. "I get that from my upbringing, from being around Birdman," he said about his artist signing process.

When the former NFL cornerback asked why Wayne thinks Drake gets hated on, the musician suggested that it had something to do with the latter's skin color. "He red, he light-skinned," he said. "That's history. That's just American history. How I know is because I'm not lightskinned. I hated on all light-skinned dudes in school. So yeah, it's American history, man."

Drake himself is aware of the hate he receives for being light-skinned. "I mean, I'm so light that people are like 'you're white.' That's what I get more than anything, people saying 'you're white, you're not black,' " Drake shared during an interview with the Village Voice in 2011.

The new interview aside, Wayne excites fans as he is set to take the stage at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center in March. The "Lollipop" rapper will be live at the Coliseum on March 28 alongside Cordae.

Additionally, he is among the performers at Las Vegas festival Lovers & Friends which will return for its third edition on Saturday, May 4 at Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Other top headliners include Usher, Janet Jackson, Backstreet Boys, Snoop Dogg, Nas and Alicia Keys.

The festival will also feature Nelly Furtado, Ludacris, Mary J. Blige, Ciara, TLC, Timbaland, Ja Rule, Ashanti, T-Pain, Akon, Ne-Yo and M.I.A. among others.
