Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Accused of 'Carefully' Plotting Reconciliation for Public Image

While the pair are living under the same roof again after the 'Gotham' alum declared that she will never leave her husband, their friends reportedly suspect the new living arrangement is just a PR stunt.

AceShowbiz - Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have been putting on a united front since their relationship drama, but not everyone is buying it. Their friends are reportedly questioning their conveniently timed reunion amid recent gay allegations involving Will and Duane Martin.

Sources tell Straight Shuter (via the National Enquirer) that the pair have chosen to live under the same roof again, but their friends suspect that their new living arrangement is just a PR ploy to rescue their bruised public image following Will's slapgate and his gay sex scandal.

"Will and Jada are putting on a united front, ending their seven-year separation and choosing to live under the same roof once again," one of the friends dishes. "They are openly declaring their commitment to each other, portraying themselves as a happy couple after the recent messy revelations about their relationship."

"But while they insist that they're back together, some doubt lingers," the so-called insider dishes. The friend goes as far as alleging, "The couple's tendency to manage their public image through carefully crafted narratives is no secret."

Jada dropped the shocking revelation about their relationship in 2023, saying that she and Will had separated since 2016, but never had any intention to divorce. She later confirmed that they reconciled after the Oscar incident where Will slapped Chris Rock, though she refused to call their relationship "marriage."

In November, during her appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show", the "Red Table Talk" host declared that she will never be leaving Will. "We're staying together forever," she said. The actress then seemed to suggest that their attempts to live separately have been unsuccessful. The Hollywood star said, "I tried. We tried."

In December, the 52-year-old mom of two said that she won't divorce Will even if they find new love. "We are both getting older. And besides, we've been together 30 years so, even if someone new came along, neither of us is going anywhere. We are a family that needs to look out for one another and always will be. Sometimes it takes a crisis for you to see that," she said to The Mail On Sunday's You Magazine.
