Admitting it's not fun to be a bride, the 'No Hard Feelings' actress reveals she had to ask her 'Silver Linings Playbook' co-star to go home early despite him being 'polite' at the dinner.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lawrence admits she's not the best host. The three-time Golden Globe Award winner has revealed that she had to ask Robert De Niro to leave her wedding rehearsal dinner and she explained the reason why.

When attending the 81st annual Golden Globes, the actress got candid about her "stressful" 2019 wedding. Admitting that being a bride is not fun, she said that she was worried about a lot of things, including her "Silver Linings Playbook" co-star who didn't seem to be comfortable at the rehearsal dinner.

"I looked over and I saw Bob, who doesn't know anybody and he's kind of wandering around," she told E! News chief correspondent Keltie Knight, "and I immediately was like, 'No, this isn't what he wants to be doing. I don't want him here.' "

She went on recalling, "So I went over and whispered, I was like, 'Go home' and he was nice-he like talked to my parents and was polite-but then I was like, 'Go.' " Jennifer said as she watched Robert leave, "that just genuinely made me feel better."

Agreeing with Keltie that being bride is "awful," the 33-year-old divulged about her nuptials to Cooke Maroney, "It's so stressful. You're not having fun. You're just like, 'Is that person having fun?' " She shared, "I'll never forget-I was freaking out about the guests being cold."

"And all of my friends were lying they're like, 'Nobody's cold, nobody's cold, everything's fine, everything's fine,' " the mother of one added. But her mother Karen Lawrence was brutally honest as Jennifer remembered, "My mom was like, 'It's freezing out there, your grandmother almost died.' "

Jennifer married Cooke, an art dealer, in October 2019 in a ceremony that was held at the Belcourt of Newport mansion in Rhode Island. The pair later welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Cy, in February 2022.
