The 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' villain brought up the name of Martin Luther King Jr.'s wife when giving a shout-out to his girlfriend, Meagan Good, during his sit-down with 'ABC News Live'.

AceShowbiz - Jonathan Majors believes that he hasn't done anything wrong by name-dropping Coretta Scott King in his recent interview. Despite being called out by Coretta and Martin Luther King Jr.'s child, the "Creed III" star remained defiant, claiming that he had the utmost respect for MLK's wife.

"My intention was to convey my utmost respect for Coretta Scott King," the 34-year-old told TMZ, "her achievements, and both her personal legacy and the one she shares with her husband, Dr. Martin Luther King."

"[Coretta] is a great woman, a very important figure in American and world history," the former MCU star added. "And [she's] someone both Meagan and I are inspired by and deeply admire."

Jonathan brought up Coretta's name when giving a shout-out to his girlfriend, Meagan Good, during his sit-down with "ABC News Live" 's Linsey Davis. "She's an angel," the actor said of his partner in the first interview since his guilty verdict. "She's held me down like a Coretta. I'm so blessed to have her."

After the interview aired, Dr. Bernice King appeared to take aim at Jonathan online. She wrote in a post, according to TMZ, "My mother wasn't a prop."

The "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" villain also mentioned Coretta's name in an audio clip from his argument with his ex Grace Jabbari. He could be heard asking Grace to be like Coretta and Michelle Obama.

"You don't understand, that team, that unit [...] Coretta Scott King, do you know who that is?" he asked in the recording. "That's Martin Luther King's wife. Michelle Obama, Barack Obama's wife."
