When 'opening up about her private life' in a new YouTube video, the Wilson Phillips singer admits to having 'a real struggle' with her marriage to her actor husband.

AceShowbiz - Chynna Phillips admitted that she "separated" from Billy Baldwin "for 6 months" in the past. When "opening up about her private life," the member of the vocal trio Wilson Phillips revealed that it happened after she committed her life to Christianity.
On Saturday, January 6, the 55-year-old singer uploaded a video, wherein she got things off her chest, on her YouTube channel. In the clip, she shared, "When Billy and I separated for 6 months and he was out of the house, I was holding on to anger and resentment because I felt it made me justified. It made me feel like I was right he was wrong and it gave me this justification, this feeling of righteousness. this pride."
Chynna explained, "And I wanted to hold on to that because if I didn't then that meant he was right and I was wrong. There was this battle internally with with letting go of my bitterness and my anger because then it was like, If I do that, that means that he won. I don't want him to win, I want to win."
The half sister of actress Bijou Phillips went on to confess, "I've been with Billy for 32 years and we have an awesome marriage but we definitely had the hardest couple years of our marriage these past couple of years, it has been a real struggle." On the reason why, she elaborated, "I think it's because I just took the deep dive into Jesus and I think he didn't quite know what to do with that because it was kind of all Jesus all the time."
"We sort of had a power struggle," Chynna continued. "The Bible says that [wives] are supposed to submit and [men] are the head and that's all true, but it also says that the man is supposed to treat the wife like the church and all of that so I think that I was just struggling with that."
Despite sharing those details in the footage, Chynna did not mention when exactly she and Billy, who tied the knot in 1995, went their separate ways. However, she filed for divorce from the 60-year-old actor back in March 2010 before withdrawing the papers a few days later.
