Sans the Duchess of Sussex, Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty and some other cast members reunited at the annual event to present the award for the best TV drama.

AceShowbiz - The 2024 Golden Globes saw the"Suits" cast's reunion to present the award for the best TV drama. Meghan Markle, however, wasn't included in the reunion, and a new report claimed that the Duchess of Sussex turned down the invitation.

A Golden Globes insider spilled to Page Six that the annual event reached out to Prince Harry's wife, who played Rachel Zane on the legal drama, for the reunion, joining Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres. "We asked the duchess, but we were told that, unfortunately, she had a previous commitment," the source revealed.

While Meghan and Harry were not in attendance at the 81st annual event, the couple was among those who were targeted by host Jo Koy during his monologue. "Turns out Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will still get paid millions of dollars for doing absolutely nothing - and that's just by Netflix," the stand-up comedian quipped before the camera panned at the streamer's CEO Ted Sarandos who was laughing.

Prior to this, Gina revealed that Meghan wasn't part of the cast's group chat. While discussing the show's massive recent resurgence on Netflix, Gina said to Variety, "When it all came through, we were all texting each other. Yes, our text thread is insane right now. So it's very exciting."

When asked if Meghan joined the group chat, Gina replied, "We don't have her number. We just don't. So she'll see, she'll watch. She'll be happy that we're here."

Despite not being in the group, Meghan reportedly keeps in touch with some of her co-stars. She appears to maintain a friendship with Sarah and Patrick, who were both invited to her and Prince Harry's royal wedding back in May 2018 in London.

Meghan indeed showed excitement after the show broke streaming records four years after it ended. "Isn't that wild?" the Duchess of Sussex told Variety on the carpet of its Power of Women event in Los Angeles in November 2023.

While she had "no idea" why its had a resurgence, the former actress shared that "it was great to work on" the series. "Such a great cast and crew. We had a really fun time. I was on it for seven seasons, so quite a bit," she gushed.
