AceShowbiz - Ice Spice is just like everyone else. In a new interview with Doja Cat, the "Barbie World" hitmaker opened up about her first celebrity crush even though she admitted that "it's so embarrassing" because she felt it when she was a kid.
Doja, however, managed to convince Ice Spice to reveal the name. "It was Usher," Ice Spice eventually revealed in the "Get Into It" femcee's special edition Instagram podcast titled "Close Friends Only". "I saw him at the Met Gala and it was my first time ever seeing him, and I'm like, 'Oh my God, it's him.' "
Seemingly understanding where it came from, Doja told her fellow musician, "He's beautiful." Ice Spice couldn't agree more as she further gushed over the "OMG" singer, "Gorgeous man."
During the interview, Ice Spice also talked about her excitement in finally meeting Doja in person. "The checklist would have to be we met in person at least once. That's about it," she simply told the "Say So" hitmaker. The latter then replied, "Well, damn! Put me on there."
The two artists also discussed the "juiciest DMs" they ever received. Despite being censored, Doja shared that she got DMs from people that she'd "never imagine" would hop in her DMs. "I also don't want to put people on blast," she added.
The "Paint the Town Red" femcee additionally addressed people calling her "unoriginal." She said of the matter, "There's a lot of people who think I, like, copy people. I pull a lot from-copy the greats. Then there's some people who are like, 'She's flat-out unoriginal.' That's impossible! "
The full episode of "Close Friends Only" will be available across streaming platforms including Spotify, iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts and YouTube on Thursday, December 7. In addition to this sit-down, the "Boy's a Liar Pt. 2" raptress and the "Kiss Me More" hitmaker will continue to collaborate for Doja's "Scarlet Tour" which is set to conclude on December 13 in Chicago.
