Arthur Curry's (Momoa) family is put in danger when Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) is out for revenge and kidnaps his infant son to unleash 'an ancient and malevolent force.'

AceShowbiz - Arthur Curry is a family man in the new trailer for "Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom". Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the sneak-peek video for its upcoming tentpole film, featuring Jason Momoa as the titular character, who is now a father.

The trailer begins with a look at Arthur as a doting dad. He can't wait to pass on his legacy to his infant son, who is using his aquatic telepathy to talk "to the fishies" in a tank. "You and me, son," Arthur tells his son. "We're special: We're connected to the land and the sea ... I can't wait to show you all the awesome this world can be."

His family, however, is put in danger when Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) is out for revenge. The villain destroys his home on the land and takes his child as he plans to use the baby's blood to unleash "an ancient and malevolent force."

"I'm gonna kill Aquaman, even if I have to make a deal with the devil to do it," Black Manta ominously says. Racing to save his family, Arthur is forced to team up with his exiled brother Orm (Patrick Wilson), the former king of Atlantis.

The trailer also features returning stars, including Nicole Kidman as Atlanna and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry. Amber Heard's Mera, who was briefly glimpsed in the previous trailer, is completely cut from the latest video, though.

According to the official synopsis, "Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father's death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all. This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force."

"To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance," it continues. "Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman's family, and the world, from irreversible destruction."

Dolph Lundgren also reprises his role as King Nereus and Randall Park is back as Dr. Stephen Shin. Directed by James Wan, the superhero movie will open in U.S. theaters on December 22.
