AceShowbiz - Adele's focus won't be on new music for a while, if a new report is to be believed. The "Easy on Me" songstress allegedly is planning a career change as she's preparing to launch her own cosmetics line.
A source told The Mirror that the British star has created a new company. The 35-year-old singer has also allegedly applied for a trademark for The Shelbourne Collective. With her own cosmetics line, the "Rolling in the Deep" hitmaker will be able to make her own beauty products which emphasize on her signature smokey eyes.
Adele's new company reportedly won't solely focus on beauty products. The report stated that she's also set to sell body care products, including creams and lotions, as well as lipsticks and lip balms, along with perfume, jewelry, watches and also underwear.
After catching wind of the report, fans couldn't help but express their disappointment since it would just mean they have to wait much longer for a new album from Adele. "Next album title gonna be 62 then…," one jokingly wrote. Adele always titled her albums according to her current age when the album was dropped.
"F**K we ain getting another album for a while," someone else echoed the sentiment. Another added, "We all know the formula at this point, Make up Brand = No new Music Forever."
Someone, meanwhile, insinuated that they're "tired" of celebrities venturing to beauty industry. "Nah cause why are all them doing this lol- first [Rihanna], then [Ariana Grande] and now Adele? Who's next? Lmao," one said, while another comment read, "at this point every celebrity is gonna launch their own cosmetic line.. talk about greed and capitalism."
Adele's latest album was "30", which was released in 2021. The musician's fourth studio album was inspired by her experiences and anxiety following her divorce and its impact on her son's life, motherhood as well as fame. With the album, Adele earned two Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, and won the Brit Award for British Album of the Year at the Brit Awards 2022.
