AceShowbiz - Courteney Cox and Matt LeBlanc are still mourning the death of their "Friends" co-star Matthew Perry. The Monica Geller and Joey Tribbiani depicters on the famed NBC sitcom took to their respective social media accounts to remember their late pal in the wake of his passing last month.
On Tuesday, November 14, the 59-year-old shared on Instagram a clip from the season 4 episode when her character Monica hooks up with Matthew's Chandler Bing for the first time. She began her caption, "I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day. When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share."
"For now here's one of my favorites. To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience's reaction, it became the beginning of their love story," she added. "In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind."
As for Matt, he unleashed several throwback pictures of him and Matthew on the set. "Matthew. It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I'll never forget you. Never," he first penned.
"Spread your wings and fly brother you're finally free. Much love," Matt added. He concluded his message by jokingly writing, "And I guess you're keeping the 20 bucks you owe me."
Matthew died at the age of 54 on October 28. He was found in the jacuzzi in the backyard of his $6 million mansion in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles. Even though it is feared he died from drowning, an official cause of death may take weeks to be confirmed by the medical examiner.
