The 'Bullet Train' actor and the 'Legally Blonde' actress are reportedly among a slew of A-listers who are eying to produce adaptation of 'The Woman in Me', while Shonda Rhimes is not interested.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears' memoir has caught the attention of a number of Hollywood's best players. Brad Pitt is reportedly gunning to produce a screen adaptation of "The Woman in Me", potentially clashing with Reese Witherspoon who is also said to be keen on turning the book into a film or TV series.

Pitt is likely pursuing the rights to Spears' memoir through his production company Plan B Entertainment, while Witherspoon may develop the project through Pacific Standard (now part of Hello Sunshine). Another star said to be interested in the screen adaptation of the book is reportedly Margot Robbie, who is the co-founder of LuckyChap Entertainment.

The Ankler was the first to report the alleged plans to turn Spears' memoir into a movie, claiming that both Pitt and Witherspoon offer "the mid-eight figures" for the rights to the book. According to the report, the 41-year-old singer recently rescheduled a meeting with an unnamed top producer "at the last minute" because she "didn't feel up to it."

However, contrary to the earlier report, Page Six says that Shonda Rhimes is not interested in the project. "Shondaland is not pursuing this project," a spokesperson for the "Grey's Anatomy" creator's company tells the site.

Additionally, a source tells the outlet that the planned adaptation is still in its very stages. "It's only beginning to take shape," one insider notes.

Meanwhile, The Ankler reported that Spears is separately in talks for a participatory documentary that could come with a $40 million paycheck.

Spears' memoir topped the New York Times' bestseller list with 1.1 million copies sold in the U.S. alone in its first week. Reacting to the good news, the pop star wrote on November 1, "Thank you to all the fans who made #TheWomanInMe a #1 @nytimes bestseller ... it means the world to me !!! Love you all !!!" She went on urging others to buy her book, "If you haven't ... you can get your copy at https://BritneyBook.com."
