When announcing the arrival of her first child with husband Alex Stoll, the 'Les Miserables' star gushes that her 'heart could burst with happiness' and shares a picture of the baby's tiny hand.

AceShowbiz - Samantha Barks has given birth to her first child with husband Alex Stoll. The 33-year-old actress/singer welcomed a son named Rafael Richard Barks-Stoll on Monday, October 16 and she shared the happy news on Instagram alongside a black and white picture of her newborn's hand.

She wrote, "Welcome Rafael Richard Barks-Stoll, born on 16th October. My heart could burst with happiness." The baby news comes just weeks after the couple headed away to the Cotswolds for a relaxing "babymoon" break in September before their little one arrived.

Samantha previously shared her pregnancy news in August revealing the couple were "so excited" to meet their baby. She added a reel on Instagram in which she and Alex had their hands over their dog Ivy's paws before moving them away and finally lifting their pooch up to reveal a sonogram photo.

She captioned the post, "@missivybarks is being promoted [red heart emoji]." She then shared another post of a pair of tiny white boots next to a white basket containing a little stuffed toy and a sign which read, "We have been keeping a tiny secret. Baby Barks-Stoll Due October 2023."

The "Les Miserables" actress wrote in the caption, "We are so excited to meet you little one [baby and heart emojis]." Samantha has been starring as Elsa in the "Frozen" stage show in London's West End, and will be replaced by Jenna Lee-James during her maternity leave.

Samantha and Alex married in Tuscany, Italy, in June 2022 and the actress previously admitted she felt "drunk in love" on her big day. She gushed to Britain's OK! magazine, "It was everything we could ever hope for, and so much more. You plan every intricate detail of a wedding and hope it all happens the way it's supposed to, and it did."

She added, "There was nothing I would change from the day, it all went perfectly and smoothly, but what you can't prepare yourself for is everyone you love being there and celebrating with you, and the atmosphere of that. It took us by surprise."
