AceShowbiz - Jimmie Allen raised people's eyebrows with what he carried while attending a child's football game. In a picture obtained by TMZ, the country singer could be seen bringing a hunting knife while at a Pop Warner youth football game in Lewes, Delaware on Saturday, October 14.
Jimmie donned a bright yellow hoodie that he paired with stonewash jeans and sneakers. He was seen casually chatting with a friend as he was allegedly there to show support to a family member who played. However, it was a knife in a sheath hanging on his hip that caught people's attention.
It's unknown why Jimmie had the knife with him. It may have something to do with his fishing hobby since a source told the news outlet that he fishes "almost daily and is always outdoors."
The new sighting arrived after he claimed that he's working things out with his pregnant wife Alexis amid his sexual assault and abuse lawsuit against him. "The divorce case is still pending, as my wife and I are working to resolve things together as a family," the "Down Home" singer told PEOPLE in July.
"What I meant by 'fixing my family first,' was making sure their mental health and stability are OK in light of these hurtful, false allegations," he added. "I took some time off to be with my wife, kids and friends, to ensure everyone was OK."
Jimmie and Alexis, who share daughters Zara James, 21 months, and Naomi Bettie, 3, together, announced their separation on April 21. He filed for divorce on April 28, and Alexis followed suit with her own filing two hours later. They cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
Later in May, Jimmie issued a public apology to Alexis. In an Instagram post, the musician expressed regret "for humiliating her with my affair. I'm embarrassed that my choices have brought shame on her." He added, "That's something that she did not deserve at all."
