As she has been dealing with tons of criticism as a young star, the 'Stranger Things' actress admits that she becomes 'a reserved person' and doesn't have a lot of friends.

AceShowbiz - Millie Bobby Brown says she only has a handful of trusted friends as she was trolled as a young star. The "Stranger Things" actress was slammed for talking "too loudly" and accused of trying to steal the thunder of her castmates on the Netflix show when she first found fame playing Eleven on the series and ended up on talk shows and in the media.
She told the new issue of Glamour magazine about how she has designed her life to block herself off from criticism, "Nobody's allowed in. Nobody can say s**t." She added, "This is my life, and the only people that are allowed are the people that I open the gate for."
"Other than that, everybody's out. And yes, it's sad. There are trust issues. And yes, I have issues with having friends," the 19-year-old star admitted. "I don't have a lot of friends. Yes, I block out a lot of people. I'm a reserved person, socially."
Millie, who is engaged to rocker Jon Bon Jovi's 21-year-old son Jake Bongiovi, also vowed, "I will never let that gate open again. Because everyone's crossed it."
Turning to her relationship with Jake, she said she loves they both have parents who married young and are still in love decades later. She added, "We were modelled wonderful, loving relationships. So it's something that we both had that mutual drive for." She gushed, "(Jake's) family were so wonderfully accepting of me and embraced me, and it's so nice to find a second family in that."
Millie has been named a Woman of the Year by Glamour as she is an award-winning actress, beauty founder, producer, bestselling author and the youngest ever appointed UNICEF Goodwill ambassador. She also runs her international beauty brand, Florence by Mills and her production company already has a hit on its hands with the "Enola Holmes" franchise.
Glamour named her as one of its Women of the Year 2023 alongside 39-year-old actress America Ferrera, who has got her own cover alongside Millie's in a special double-edition of the title.
