Dalton Gomez is reportedly 'devastated' by the split and 'would love to win' the 'Wicked' star back although it has been reported that he has been dating again over the last few months.

AceShowbiz - Dalton Gomez is reportedly still not completely over Ariana Grande although he has been dating again following their split. If a new report is to be trusted, the luxury estate agent is "devastated" by the end of their marriage and still hops for a reconciliation with the singer/actress.

According to Us Weekly, Dalton wanted "the fairy tale, happy ending," so he was bummed that their marriage didn't end that way. "Dalton has been devastated by it," a so-called insider tells the outlet. "A separation is not what he's wanted. He wanted the fairy tale, happy ending, and it's not looking that way."

A second source adds, "Dalton is really hoping to make things work with Ariana. Despite the rocky patches they've been through, he isn't ready to give up on their marriage." The informant spills, "He saw himself spending the rest of his life with Ariana and will do anything to get past this."

While it seems that Dalton has moved on from Ariana by dating someone else, the source insists that he "has been dating casually as an attempt to distract himself from the split," but he's not looking for anything serious.

"Truth be told, he's not over Ariana and would still love to win her back," the second insider explains, adding that the 30-year-old star is "fine" with her estranged spouse exploring other romantic options. "She just wants to move forward and has no hard feelings about their breakup," the source goes on noting.

Ariana sparked speculation of marital rift after ditching her wedding ring at Wimbledon over the weekend. Page Six later claimed, "They came to the decision together. They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends. They've been really good friends throughout the entire process, and their friends and families have been trying to protect them."

TMZ went on detailing that the couple grew apart post-COVID pandemic as their lives were vastly different. He was allegedly taken aback by her celebrity lifestyle. Their differences started to make their marriage unravel and it was greatly exacerbated when she went to England last December to begin filming "Wicked". They began living separate lives until May, when they decided to take a shot at it again. But that only lasted two weeks before they both threw in the towel.

At one point, Dalton even traveled to London to visit Ariana in "last ditch attempt to save their marriage," but it "didn't work out."

Ariana, who has finished filming her scenes for the "Wicked" movie, is reportedly set to return to the U.S. on Thursday, July 20. The Sun said that she is intending to "race back to California" to "reunite with her friends and family following a tough few months where she tried to save her ailing marriage from the other side of the Atlantic."
