AceShowbiz - Tom Holland may have found his success in the entertainment industry, but it doesn't mean he enjoys being under the spotlight. In a new interview, the "Spider-Man: No Way Home" actor admitted that he's looking for ways to remove himself from Hollywood because it really "scares" him.

The 27-year-old English heartthrob made the honest confession when appearing on "Jay Shetty Podcast". He said, "I really am a massive fan of making movies, but I really do not like Hollywood. It is not for me."

"The business really scares me," the Marvel star continued. "I understand that I'm a part of that business and I enjoy my kind of interactions with it, but that said, I am always looking for ways to kind of remove myself from it to kind of just live as normal a life as possible."

Tom went on to share, "I definitely think it has been an ongoing thought, which is 'don't lose yourself.' I've seen so many people come before me and lose themselves." He then noted that he's "had friends that I've grown up with that aren't friends of mine anymore because they've lost themselves to this business."

"And I just am really, really keen to focus on what make me happy which is my family, my friends, my carpentry, my golf, the charity my mom runs," the boyfriend of Zendaya Coleman explained further explained. "That is the stuff that makes me really happy and that is the stuff I should protect."

In June, Tom declared that he's taking a year off work after filming "The Crowded Room". He told Extra, "I love the learning curve of becoming a producer. I'm no stranger to hard work. I've always sort of lived by this idea that hard work is good work. I really enjoyed it, but then again, the show did break me."

"There did come a time where I was sort of like, 'I need to have a break.' I disappeared. I went to Mexico for a week and had some time on a beach," Tom, who started his career as a child actor when he took on the title role in "Billy Elliot: The Musical" in London's West End, added. "And I'm now taking a year off, and that is a result of how difficult this show was."
