The 'Anna Wintour' femcee takes to her Instagram account to launch a rant on the 'Need to Know' hitmaker, blasting the 27-year-old star for her 'try hard' music.

AceShowbiz - Azealia Banks is seemingly not a fan of Doja Cat. On Friday, June 16, the "Anna Wintour" femcee took to her Instagram account to launch a rant on her fellow musician, blasting the "Woman" hitmaker for being a "try hard."

"I really be wanting to like Doja's music but it's all just sooo try hard," Azealia began her rant. "Her first album was actually cool as hell," she said, adding that it was "her own authentic art voice."

She went on to say that Doja "sounds like a white girl that grew up in a house." She added, "It's not giving that pissy stairwell/ bacon egg and cheese/ vanilla Dutch nyc energy she's reaching for," noting that California rap is "purposefully inoffensive and caters to paper shoe Tom and matted hair Abigail."

In her post, Azealia also criticized the "Kiss Me More" songstress for her approach. According to Azealia, it was like Doja was "trying to conceptualize an authentic rap record is giving angel haze NYC WANNABE levels of boring rippity rap/ cheesy soho whiteboy hypebeast circa '06." She further opined, "She's giving me those weird fka twigs biracial girl identity crisis vibes."

Azealia also dragged Kendrick Lamar, calling the "All the Stars" spitter "MAD overrated and extremely complacent." She later accused the rapper of having "white ghostwriters writing about the black struggle n s**t."

Azealia's rant arrived after Doja released her new single "Attention" on Friday along with its official music video. In the visuals, the 27-year-old can be seen driving past a crowd of people who are screaming for her. She's also seen walking the sidewalks of Downtown L.A. as she delivers her bars.

"Attention" serves as the lead single off Doja's fourth studio album. It also marks her first solo release since her 2021 album, "Planet Her", which climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Of her forthcoming new album, Doja teased last month, "its not called hEllMoUth either its called 'First of All.' " She went on saying, "And yes I'm announcing the album title right now."
