Despite opening up about getting cosmetic procedures, the former 'Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta' star admits that she initially hesitated to tell her fans about it due to the controversy surrounding plastic surgery.

AceShowbiz - While most people try to keep their plastic surgery a secret, Akbar V did the opposite. The former "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star revealed that she's getting some cosmetic procedures in a new social media post, telling her fans that she "can't wait" to show off the results.
On Monday, June 12, the 33-year-old shared an Instagram video of herself before going under the knife with Atlanta surgeon Dr. Curves. In the caption, she admitted that she thought long about sharing the procedure online due to how "controversial surgery has been lately."
"So you guys I thought long and hard about sharing these videos because of how controversial surgery has been lately," Akbar penned. "But I really wanted to bring you guys along my journey which I been told you guys I would post my whole procedure and vlog it…"
"So here it is my first day of surgery with @drcurves I had a Breast Lift with some NEW implants that costed me an extra coin and I had the extra skin on my back removed," she continued. "HUNNY I AM SNATCHEDDDD. I can't wait to show y'all what my doctor did. Make sure to follow his page to see the behind the scenes @drcurves and tune in to my YouTube Channel for the Documentary."
It looks like Akbar's hesitancy to share her plastic surgery journey is related to the controversy surrounding the death of Ms. Jacky Oh!. The former "Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'n Out" star died on May 31 in Miami, days after reportedly undergoing a cosmetic procedure.
Days before her passing, Jacky posted on her Instagram page a picture of her posing with Zachary Okhah, MD or better known as Dr. Zach. In the since-deleted post, she let her followers know that she flew to Miami to get a "mommy makeover." She wrote in the caption, "Getting ready for my mommy makeover with Dr. Zach!! Stay tuned to my YouTube for the full reveal!"
